Technology is great, if you are in a technical roll lots of opportunities to contribute and improve your skills. work life balance is good and the campus is wonderful place to work, VMware has invested a lot in real estate, but telecommuting is an option when needed .

Cons

VMware's grip is slipping as the number 1 player in this space. Executive leadership's vision is not working and competitors are gaining ground. Company is trying to get on track but slow to move and make changes with impact. Resources are always tight, anything from equipment to travel is hard to get approved, recurring hiring and travel stops EMC owns a majority of VMware and has had lackluster performance for a while, pressure from outside group to sell or split-up federation, VMware is getting sucked into this lackluster performance cycle as well under current CEO.
