Pros

Great people. Intelligent, humorous, fun to hang out with. Weekly happy hour. Great salary, great benefits. Employees encouraged to give back to community. Easygoing managers, at least mine was great. No Accrued Vacation - don't know whether to love it or hate it.

Cons

Influence of EMC is present, and starting to shape the company. VMware appears to be past the line of build/buy - instead of creating products of their own making, they are rich enough to buy whole companies. This stifles internal innovation, just like EMC does.

Tend not to hire permanently, lots of contracts and internships. Salaries very average for this type of role.

- Good Salary - Initial Training program gets you a basic idea of the Product very well.

Cons

- Unlike the Dev team, if you are in PSO you don't have a clear purpose defined. - You hop on calls to solve customer issues to realize you don't know many things about Company's own Product. - There is no interaction between the teams in AW, Dev's despise QA and they in turn despise PSO. - If you are looking to learn more then PSO is not a team for you. Nobody encourages you to learn the whole stack but just enough knowledge to solve tickets. - Average team mostly convincing Customer that the problem is at their end rather than taking feedback and making a great product, Why ? Communication Gap between teams.
