Pros

free training get your VCP and GET OUT free food i dont work there any longer the place was keeping me up at night

Cons

abusive managers ; favoritism ; expectations are you work till you drop. Days without lunch as forced to be in phone que 8 hours for days while what normally would be called TEAMLEAD takes over 1 hour lunch or more and is unapproachable for help. managers dont seem to get if you have 30 back log tickets you need to be able to do research and work them to get rid of them. Most of the people at the burlington office are afriad of being dragged into a room and walked out. Company has way to many products for current support model it will hurt them. Oh wait it has they layed off AOT of people .. VMwares moto " more with less" good luck people your the less more = more hours in the que more assigned tickets

Pros

- culture of excellence, quality - a lot of smart people - genuine commitment to innovation

Cons

- executives lack ability Inability to make tough decision; they allow competing projects to go on too long undermining eachother leading to a no-win situations. - hyper-visor / platform team have too much say / power: VMware claim they want to move "up the stack" into management software and new domains but efforts have been obstructed by senior, core teams who only have experience building operating systems and command line tools. - promises of technical career progression don't seem too promising: Sr Staff and above seem dominated by old-timers and acquirees; little potential for organic promotion - recent "re-focussing" and spinning-off of the "Pivotal Initiative" seems to be an admission the company is incapable of moving into new areas which is disheartening.
