VMware ... - has a great and viable vision for the future of information technology - pays It's employees handsomely - has great values and lives by them

Cons

As an employee, one has to take care of one's own work-life-balance otherwise the company will "take" everything you are willing to give.

Pros

-Good Benefits package -snacks and beverages -looks good on a resume They have great technology and have seen continued success but you have to wonder how long it will take for imcompetence to topple the giant

Cons

- Poor planning on important decisions - no accountability for dismal decisions - virtually no communication regarding pertinant job related issues - middle management is often just cronies of upper management from previous jobs. Others have posted this and it absolutely true. - logic is completly absent example of lack of logic: we require NET30 payment terms, obviously we would not accept Net45 or NET 60. The disconnect is we do not accept NET15!!!!!!!!!!! That is 15 days sooner than you require!!. NETzero is not accepted either!!! No lie, it seems unbelievable doesn't it. They require FOB Origin for all PO's for revenue recognition purposes even though this is foreign to their customers, industry standard is FOB Destination. If you purchase anything from VMware you should definitely use a partner.

Cons

Very few compared to other companies where I worked before. But every company is going to have a few bad apples and we do here too.
