Pros

Working in the field sales force at VMware was great. You never had to fight to hard to get an appointment with a customer. Management had your back and the remainder of the team was willing to backfill when there was a need.

Cons

As a systems engineer, sometimes you were expected to just "go along for the ride" with the sales team. Whether it was in your best interest or not.

Pros

It well organized but without too much beurocracy. The people are fun to work with. Decent level of challenge. A technology leader in a market in market peaking it's early majority stage.

Cons

Slow career advancement. Non-efficient entry level training.

Pros

Customers love us, we make awesome products and we get to solve technical challenges every day -- and the solution makes it into enterprise IT a couple of years later. The people are smart, and the campus is beautiful.

Cons

Planning leaves something to be desired. Sometimes there's a lot of scrambling at the front end, and the tail end of the release.
