Despite the IT geekiness of VM products as a whole, I've met some really good people who cares for the company and each other as individuals. At VMware, senior mgmt tries hard have programs to recognize and celebrate people's accomplishments.

Cons

Still a very large company mentality , hard to move fast and implement change.

Cons

1. Must be focused. No one is responsible for your career. You can stop learning and get lay off someday and can't find new job if you just keep complaining and do/learn nothing. 2. Do what you have to do and LEARN. Don't be a brown nose and tried to cater to boss but learn nothing. 3. Need more drive force to innovation. Don't talk but DO.
