Pros

VMware benefits. My manager actually knows what he/she are doing and will do what they can given constant change and demands from upper management. Fun work events.

Cons

No work from home policy. It is mind blowing given the solution that we sell. Nowadays almost every company can work remotely (and allows their employees the option). Even if it were one day a week it would make the job WAY better. Need work/life balance!!

Pros

You should first read my cons list. Maybe then the pros will make sense. The only pro that I can think of working at AirWatch is that i got to work at a terrible company so early on in my career that now i know what to look for when i am looking for jobs and have learnt not to make the same mistakes that i made over here.

Cons

Its a long list: 1. They will just about make anyone a team lead. For example: My manager was useless. A terrible listener. Will never try to understand a word of what i am saying and then just give their own opinions. After a while, when they would hear it from someone else, they would write a long scathing email about why i didnt inform them. 2. Each team lead here has their own favorites and they are the ones who get good reviews and they can do nothing wrong. If your manager doesnt like you, you are screwed. Anything that you do will be reviewed 10,000 times and they will still find faults and raise questions about your performance. They will also compare you to their favorites and ask why cant you be like them. I am all for a healthy competition but everyone has their own working style so its unfair to compare people. This is the first thing a manager would know. But then they dont undergo any sort of training. HR doesnt even think it is worth spending time and money on training their people on how to be good managers. 3. The HR department here does not care what you are doing. I know someone who reached out to them because they were having problems with their lead and they didnt even reply to that person's email. 4. They expect the employees to be working 24x7 but will never show any appreciation for it. People have stayed back and worked late in the night for projects so that they could meet deadlines. Instead of rewarding them or a single thank you, they were given more work. You have to sacrifice your personal life if you are working there. 5. No career opportunities. No promotions. You are just stunted in your career.

Pros

Certification. Cool product's. Free snacks coffee. Looks good on CV You will learn valuable skills.

Cons

Workload. Technical support expectations with call centre volume expect to work 5-8 new case's (80% will require 40 min) per day with an existing 20-30 bucket.it will be better next month because x but nothing changes. Work life balance is nil when you have crazy volumes. Support complex products with 2 days training. Volume over quality of work is the norm. Static pay. Internal tools maddening and lead to frustration. Political.
