Pros

Good domain Good future for the company VMware bringing in lot of expertise and brand equity

Cons

Quality of hiring in engineering has to improve Make sure your hires actually know how to code before getting them on-board Hiring and firing immediately in 3 months is not sustainable. Shows engineering leadership in poor light, it's NOT a candidate's fault if we "hired" them. Because it's OUR job to recognize talent, not the candidate's. Most of your senior people are evangelists - Security evangelist, UX evangelist, 'Microservices' evangelist - where are your developers?

Pros

- Free Cabs - Free evening snacks (for those who love oil bath) - Compensation at par with market standards

Cons

- Managers and HRs send mails to write good reviews in glassdoor. If I had an option to upload pics, I would have shared the screenshot of the emails send by these managers - This is not a US product based company. It is a Kannada product based company. People talk to each other in Kannada all the time. - I have been in 3 organizations before this, and this has been the worst. I have never seen any organization with such pathetic, low class, uncultured, manner-less leads and managers in my entire life. Scolding and shouting at junior resources in a common scene here - Support Engineers have taken up QA lead positions here and have spoiled the work environment entirely in QA. Nonetheless the QA team itself is useless so it doesn't matter much. - I was sent onsite for 10 days (which is the max no. of days for any person in Airwatch) and had a terrible time reimbursing the expenses. - HR team is entirely missing from the organization. They live in their own little world and don't even bother about what is going on within their company. They are not aware about HR policies, they don't encourage or do any employee engagement activities. Sending out - New Joiner, Lost & Found mails etc. is the only thing they know. - VMWare leave policies was integrated way back with Airwatch, still the managers and HRs say that they have not been implemented yet. They force the employees to follow the old policies because it suits them. - Coming to our Dev team, well, technology wise it is good. There something new to learn if you are in the right team. But the internal politics spoils the fun. And now a days the offshore team does only bug fixing and other support work - Unhygienic and dirty cafeteria and washrooms. Please search Airwatch in Google Play Store and see the review with your own eyes. You will get a clear picture about how much this product actually SUCKS ! Please don't join this company by looking at 3+ star reviews. These have been posted by the HRs using multiple fake IDs. They send out mails on a regular basis asking their employees to do the same. I too joined this company seeing the positive reviews, but later on realized that this was the worst decision of my life.

Pros

Engineer friendly and you get to work with really smart people. Great benefits and day to day perks. All the resources you could want.

Cons

A bit too much red tape and long, slow development cycles. Lots of layers of management.
