      Pros

      Good salary packages, HR helpful and supportive where they can be. Infrastructure, office environment and benefits good, majority of people great to work with, a high profile organisation that provides links to the industry best. Good opportunities for travel and exposure depending on seniority of level

      Cons

      Unhealthy domination by leadership level specifically in Europe constrained openness, creativity and intimately job fulfilment. When the top said jump without clarity as to why, everything became a firefighting exercise because it couldnt be questioned. This created chaos, inefficiency and frustration, both at the leadership level and amongst the troupes. I saw this time and again

      Pros

      The company is amazing to work for, from the salary package to the compensation and perks. They look after their staff extremely well! The team atmosphere is amazing with every employee throughout the company willing to help at the drop of a hat. The training is second to none, they provide everything and anything to ensure you become an expert in your assigned field. They also offer budget and material for other technologies within VMware and other Vendors (i.e. Cisco).

      Cons

      GSS is the support centre for a Vendor and expect most of the problems to be complex and relating to software issues rather than customer configuration issues. The NSX Network Engineer role has little to do with Networking. While it is great to understand Networking concepts, many of the issues relates to software bugs, DB issues or other attributing factors which are non-network related.

      Good holidays, social events, well stocked canteen

      Cons

      There is almost no work-life balance. Very low morale due to increasing micromanagement, No promotions for long serving employees. Not enough staff, lots of overtime.
