      Pros

      I have been very fortunate in my career to work for really good companies and I can definitely include VMWare with them. Wonderful benefits and a great working environment. Company believe in growing their employees with plenty of opportunities for training and job movement.

      Cons

      Just like any company, it can be more about the management than the company. Some managers don't know how to provide expectations and communicate for growth. Have never had a review in the time I've worked there and have no idea what my expectations are.

      Good pay and benefits. Remote friendly

      Cons

      The first year after acquisition (formerly CarbonBlack) was fine, but now lots of VMware execs are moving in and creating a very bureaucratic engineering organization that is oriented around a set of "blessed architects" over those who ship solid products.
