VMware has created a number of products that customers love and as an employee, especially when you get the chance to attend VMworld, you feel happy to be a part of a company that has fundamentally changed the way the datacenter has managed. The CEO has a good plan for the future. There are a number of smart seasoned engineers and managers. The company contributes generously to good causes.

Cons

There can be challenges at VMware in managing the trade-offs between maintaining existing product lines and investing in new product lines, sometimes causing changes in direction that can be frustrating and can cause teamwork issues.

There is a lot of flexibility in the work schedule. I think that they are developing some good programs around citizen philanthropy and giving back to our communities.

Cons

Not enough interaction with leadership... There should be more incentives for learning and training.
