Large company with many resources. Nice campus. Some cutting edge technology. Compensation is above average.

Cons

Career pathing is challenging. Large software base means lots of people working to maintain it and less opportunities to work on new things. Large public cloud providers make VMware SDDC software less relevant. Inconsistently trained managers. Tends to be hierarchical. Not much progress on advancing underrepresented groups. Hours can be long and late. Stock has been moving sideways over the past two years.
