Compensation is good. you will learn domain.

If you believe this - "Nothing can compensate toxic environment" then do not join VMWare Pune Policy Team. Managers are very disrespectful, dismissive, negative- the tone with which they talk to engineers is unbearable. Many people left the company and remaining ones are stuck. In terms of technology- old tech, process, devops. a build takes 4-8 hours to complete. Developers are very inefficient because tools and processes. No sure about other teams, but policy team is mostly maintenance. Senior staff engineers are full of ego, one has to be very careful talking to them.
