Cons

Challenges with virtualization, cloud competitors and emerging open source projects . Company re-focusing and shedding none core product assets.

Big company perks. Pays well.

Cons

If you are not a star working on the core product, you do not feel valued. Several groups internally are working on competing technologies. Marketing team has little idea how the actual products work. Very old-school management philosophies, set deadline and work harder. Lots of late nights in Palo Alto.

Smart people, great technology, good compensation. Not everyone gets a change to work for a company that defines the technology and changes the landscapes.

Cons

getting in to big company rut. with big portfolio simple decisions are also getting arduous. Facing classic challenge of big companies to keep talent motivated and on the toes. But surely they will come at top.
