Pros

One can learn huge amounts of knowledge in a short time. One can get certified with really expensive certificates.

Cons

The workload is enormous. After you have survived here, you can pretty much relax in other jobs... Internal documentation is quite bad and there seems to be nobody fixing it.

Product support engineer can have good experience of full stack technical stuff from hardware to software application as well as advanced virtualization technologies. This is a very good place for improving technical skills.

Cons

It is tough for support engineers to cover the variety of VMware products by the limited number of engineers.
