      Pros

      Great company, great benefits, good top level leadership

      Cons

      Services sending jobs overseas. Poor leadership in support division. No opportunities for growth or lateral moves. Won't allow you to apply outside of services. Laid off complete site with no plan to cover the work. Low morale. People expected to work through lunch and work overtime. Customers very unhappy. Many customer escalations.

      Pros

      VMware has great products and excellent individual contributors. The company also offers a pretty good benefits package and competitive paid time off.

      Cons

      The company has really struggled with growth and maturity since the IPO. It currently runs a very loose operations model that causes a fair amount of fear, uncertainty and doubt.
