Pros

Tremendous capability within the portfolio (i.e. software defined storage through the InfoScale product line for over 20 years) and tremendous people in a cultivating culture. #1 Market leading products (NetBackup, VCS, Clearwell, etc.).

Cons

The spin off is creating uncertainty and doubt with the ranks. Some of the messages coming down from the new management is mixed and vague.

Needs to invest more into R&D and try to keep good engineers around. There are frequent changes in the past. low morale. Uncertain in the future of the company.

Good company, terrific benefits, amazing people, warm culture, and a fun environment. Veritas is a perfect place for an entry-level technician or a seasoned professional. The Roseville office is a little taste of California's tech culture.

Cons

Honestly, none. I have encountered some of the best managers I have ever worked for and some of the most talented and hungry coworkers. Extra words to meet minimum.
