Buddies, families, relatives and friends of leaders fill 30% of the crowd...all they have to do is keep clapping to leader's words and praising them with "yes, you are the boss".....your technical/professional talents and experience never win here. If one needs to stay on, keep learning a specific local language first, which will ensure your job. This is much more important because you performance review is conducted by a manager who is not accountable for your deliverables ( accountability lies with matrix). At the end you end up working for two sets of management and forgets to work for the organisation. Multiple groups compete with each other to show who is better, because its all about how your leaders perceive.
