Nearly three years on from joining Virtustream and I can happily say this is a great place to work. I started with Virtustream in an Admin role knowing very little about Cloud Computing, but management very quickly took time out of their own schedule to teach me all I needed to know. The management team really do want the best for their employees, they are great at seeing potential- I have been promoted and given great opportunities and responsibility. They really push for you to reach your goals, helping you along the way. There is a strong company culture, the UK do not have a huge team, so we are all close and get along great which is very important to me! We run charity events and have a monthly happy hour, so there is lots of fun to be had outside of the office too! Overall, I have learnt a great deal and really been able to get involved in different areas of the business, which is something you wouldn’t be able to do at a larger company. I would recommend a job at Virtustream!

Very flexible environment regarding working locations and hours. If you do a something well it is recognised at the top of the company, and appreciation is genuine and felt. Always learning new things at the cutting edge of technology. Exposed to design and operations that are critical and being part of a team of very, very smart people. Management is very technical and no political issues seem to be prevalent. For the company size, we seem to be very successful and always made to feel part of the success. Not 'trapped' in a role, allowed (and encouraged) to develop outside of it.. the Ops team works together as one unit so exposed to different functions (e.g storage, network etc).
