Pros

Easy to get hired in. They're always looking because people are always leaving.

Cons

Managers and supervisors treat the employees horribly. I left because of that reason. I didn't appreciate being implied that I'm lying about if I'm part time or full time (I was hired in part time) or that I'm in competent because I couldn't do some tasks properly . . . b/c I wasn't trained at all.

Pros

Employee discount and 401k-match. If you want to do drugs go for it.. if you fail a drug test you can claim 'dependence' and still keep your job.

Cons

Prices are JACKED UP in the store but people still pay it for some reason! The drive-thru for Pharmacy is an AWFUL invention and leaves plenty of room for mistakes to be made. The company is VERY CHEAP - the scrubs that they MAKE the pharmacy tech's wear are made of crap material and odd-fitting. And the color doesn't exist in the real world so buying your own scrubs is out of the question. You must clock in and out EXACTLY on time which means your shift starts when the pharmacy opens.. how does that make sense?? Crap insurance coverage at HIGH costs. Walgreens would rather take in brand new just-graduated Pharmacists that float from store to store and pay them less than give the ones with YEARS of experience any sort of raise. The tech's do all the work and are definitely not compensated well!

Pros

Ability to take 3 day weekends when doing part time (32h week), without taking leave. Good scheduler in this area. Most of the pharmacies aren't crazy stressful. Good benefits relatively, decent pay. Some flexibility in scheduling.

Cons

Poor training with so much to know. Traveling can get old when a floater and being asked to travel a lot. Constantly differing schedule.
