Pros

I was able to meet new and interesting people and was mandated to develop better people skills, something in which I was hideously deficient. That, above all, will be a debt to Walgreens that I can never repay. I learned to run a register and operate a drive-through window.

Cons

I learned to run a register and operate a drive-through window. I was laughably bad at both. I got my tie stuck in the cash register and my hand stuck in the drive-through slot. All on my first day. It did give some customers a good laugh, so it was worth it. I despise drive-through windows now. I get all jittery when I see them.

Pros

Employee discounts. The few Pros about the company are disappearing fast under new Walgreens CEO

Cons

- Non-existent employee friendly culture. The new Wagreens CEO is Irish and Europeans supposedly value employees but he does not. He is bringing anti-employee friendly culture, chasing profits over employee happiness and in next year or so it will drive new and good talent away. - Below market pay - Frequently changing roles

Pros

They have flexible hours, there is a 15% off discount, and 20% off for all Walgreens products. Customers are always friendly.

Cons

Not treated fairly, rarely acknowledged for accomplishments, always looking for things you do wrong. No benefits, cannot call out without having a no call no show. They disregard your availability sometimes. Told you don't do your job even when you do. Little to no training. Daytime employees are respected more than nighttime.
