      Walgreens is more concerned with business than patient care.

      Pros

      You get to make a direct impact on patient care in the pharmacy. The staff is friendly and there are a variety of options for relocation.

      Cons

      You often work under-staffed. Often business comes before the needs of the patients. Also, it is difficult to get holidays off or get someone to cover your shift.

      No life, treated like no good slaves, disrespected by DM's etc, Alcoholic Conventions and Customers first ha yeah right.

      Pros

      Management money wasn't to bad if you didn't work 24/7 like me. You meet a lot of great customers. The small discount was nice esp the larger discount on Wal products. I knew it was a stable company as it stayed busy. Bonus were a plus.

      Cons

      The conventions you can not take your spouse it is mandatory and this year in Vegas was a drunk fest. There is lots of favoritism and it is a lot of who you know what you get. The corporate policy's seem to change depending on who you talk to. They do not stand behind their employees and worry more about law suits. Don't put your customer first if they can't make lots of money its a pure money hungry company. Expect to work unlimited hours and get no recognition but if you need an hour off for a Dr's appointment then you are no good and on the ---- list. If your DM and you don't see eye to eye and you don't kiss butt then they will do anything to get you out the door. Walgreens is all about profit and nothing else. The District Managers are very sneaky and don't even let me get started on the pharm. talk about a power surge. If you are single and want no life out of your store and be treated like common trash then walgreen's is the place for you.
