Pros

Great people to work with at store level and good customers. Most of my best friends are Walgreen people. If you love a fast paced environment where you are never bored, then be a store manager.

Cons

Prepare to work 6 days a week (min 10 hrs/day), some nights and even holidays. You will never get 3 day weekends with a holiday involved. In the month of December you will only have a couple of days off and it is hard to enjoy your Christmas holiday when you worked 20 days in a row and you are exhausted. Seems you never have enough budgeted hours to properly run your store.

Pros

They have a great benefit plan that includes a company matched 401k.

Cons

Your are forced to do charity events on your off days. No time for family or friends. Promotions are bases on who the district manager likes.
