Pros

Walgreens is a great place to work because it challenges you. You are required to sell, work tasks, and pay attention to customers all at the same time. If you don't push yourself, you won't make it. If you are lazy and just want to stand around you will be stuck as front cashier (which I think is the lowest position in the store) for a very long time. If you don't feel like Walgreens is fair to be like this, well guess what all retail stores are like this. If you don't like it, get out of retail.

Cons

The downside to Walgreens is the downside to any retail store. You have to work and you have to work hard. That means coming in consistently on weekends and holidays. I worked Christmas day last year. Be prepared for it. It's not easy. Just like any other job if you have the wrong manager your job will not be pleasant. I'm very thankful for the store manager that I have right now. If I didn't have him I probably would quit. Walgreens is also known for coupon shoppers. Some of them are very nice, and I like seeing them every day. Others are greedy and aren't very polite at all. It's hard dealing with them sometimes because they aren't considerate of other customers or the store...
