Pros

Stability. Layoffs are rare. There are opportunities to grow. There are many talented people to work with and to learn from.

Cons

Benefits are bad. Especially medical, which is disappointing and surprising for a healthcare company. Run like a small company, which is sometimes good, but can also be bad.

Pros

You would put your ava. times in the systems and the manager(s) would still schedule you for the times that you can not work, so you have to end up calling in.

Cons

Not far in making the schedule, show favortism to certain employees. Do not care if you or your family are sick (esp. your kids)

Pros

I loved helping the customers and learning about the different medications and medical conditions. The hours were not bad either.

Cons

As with any retail pharmacy, you will get screamed at and called names. It really depends on how busy of a Walgreens you work at for what kind of experience you will have. I worked at a small one without a drive-thru and I loved it, but I hated subbing at very busy stores where I stood at the drive-thru the entire time.
