Pros

The corporate cafeteria was really good

Cons

Some that come to mind off the top of my head: lies, lies, more lies... "people never leave this company." Oh yes they do. They are either forced to leave, or are fired, if they don't conform and kiss major bootie. The politics at this company are unbelievable. It's like high school. Do you eat lunch with the right people? Do you dress the right way? Do you pretend to be tolerant while talking behind people's backs? Do you read what's written between the lines in your department, instead of listening to what corporate policy says? It's a sheep mentality. If you drive the wrong car you may be shunned and I am not kidding.

Pros

I like most of our customers and enjoy giving treats to dogs that come with to drive up window

Cons

They don't spend enough time training you before they throw you right in (its about profits). They put inexperienced techs in and expect the pharmacist to take up all the slack while an experienced tech would not have to spend 20 minutes doing nothing while on hold. Then management comes in to chastise me for not meeting quota. They don't realize that I can't do MY job if I'm doing the clerking, etc.

Pros

Walgreens is a great company that really does care about it's employees. There are many opportunities for advancement. I enjoyed working for Walgreens.

Cons

As an assistant manager, it is a little harder to get certain days off. However, the company tries to work around your schedule the best they can.
