Pros

In-store managers good depending on location, pay reasonable for a part-time job

Cons

Corporate staff hands down orders from their ivory tower without any knowledge of how it will affect individual stores. District managers and their supervisors are only concerned about padding the bottom line in their districts or regions to inflate their bonuses. All Walgreens' policies seem to be aimed at screwing store employees.

Pros

The system is real easy to use. Coworkers were people you could really get along with. The job itself is not that difficult.

Cons

As with any job that deals with the public, there are days that are more stressful that others. No loyalty.

Pros

There are great opportunities to develop salesmanship abilities and to get really great experience in management. The benefits, although not as good as they were in years past, are still heads above the rest.

Cons

There is little to no growth. The company has the focus on the customer and spends so much time and energy chasing after failed initiatives and the ever elusive stock price of years past. It has become a 'Wal-Mart' culture of dumping on employees and having unreal expectations for little help.
