Pros

You are given some of the best technology to help you with your job. Support personnel are given opportunities to elevate their knowledge base in the pharmacy. This helps to free the pharmacist up for more clinical tasks and patient interaction.

Cons

Key performance indicators are sometimes given too much consideration. Supervisors can fail to take specific points for a store into consideration when offering improvement points. This can damage staff morale, and create a an antagonistic environment.

Pros

They pay well considering what else is out there right now and if you are working with the right people it can be a lot of fun.

Cons

Customers are stupid and whine nonstop and the policy is to make them happy no matter what, I have literally given away merchandise before because the customer threw such a fit. Also you have a crazy schedule. most night shifts you will not get a lunch break.

Pros

I like being able to help people get medicines they need and counselling. We are well compensated for our time.

Cons

There are a number of problems with the system. We are constantly training new techs due to the fact that once they get licensed, other places hire them for more money and benefits. If you want a life and family, it is hard to do in the company..We are constantly short-handed and the managers who are supposed to be able to fill in when a tech is out are incapable of doing the job. Long experience with the company has shown that the last thing you want to do is be a pharmacy manager. It is not worth the added stress and all the attendent crap which accompanys the position. T00 much stess and Little support from above. The latest is having us do flu shots. I do not object but it was a volunteer program..It is now a mandatory one or get shipped to a store way out of the way..And we received no additional help....Who fills when pharmacist is giving a shot?
