Pros

great benefits Your given tools to help you perform effectively on the job. respecting others is not just a nice policy but is what is expected. moving up is possible if you are willing to work for it and be open to changes. If you like to be challenged in your work, Walgreens can provide you with positive job related challenges.

Cons

Yearly reviews are supposed to be done using a rating system that all store managers need to go by except the rating system has a big flaw in it. Whatever the interpretation of the store manager is on a certain behavior is the rating the ASM will get. For example Customer Service may be a category that is part of he review. One manager may think that his/her ASM may be at "Exceeding Expectations" while another manager may think his/her ASM is at "achieving expectations" even though both ASMs are demonstrating the same behaviors when dealing with customers. So the ASM who rated lower than the other ASM looks less promotable. This can affect whether or not an ASM is considered for promotion because on paper she may look less qualified. All because her store manager's standard for exceeding compared to achieving is much higher than the other store manager's in the area.
