Pros

They pay well for the industry. Plenty of room for advancement and they also promote from within. We have terrific resources including people and technology. I enjoy working with the public and getting the public into my store.

Cons

Work long hours as a store manager. Have very limited budget of hours for the store with more and more work to get done. For those who say it is hard to get promoted look in the mirror and ask yourself if you are a good worker because I know that in my district if you are you get promoted. It took me 1 year to become an exa and 3 more years to become a store manager which I thought was quite fair. I worked my butt off to get here and I work even harder now that my name is on the wall of my store. So it doesnt get easier the further up the rung you go and if you think it does you have no idea the daily tasks that are involved with being a store manager.

Pros

management is paid well. Profit sharing is great. Thats about it.

Cons

Every year they want more and more with less and less. Less payroll, more work, better service, etc etc. If you have no life outside of work, this is the job for you. If you have a family, good luck!

Pros

Good technology, the processing system is the best and constantly evolving. A lot of good people work for the company. Good money but not great, and you work for it.

Cons

Effective training is nonexistent. It always gets down to on-the-job. Older stores are in wretched shape-- after a few years the facilities are ghetto. Every communication from management, no matter how nicely the words say it, boils down to four things: 1. Do more 2. Do it faster 3. Do it with less help and 4. Do it perfectly because you might kill someone. Finally, pharmacists should never, ever have to answer to a non-pharmacist regarding the pharmacist's professional judgment.
