Pros

The best reasons are if you are a pharmacist....they get paid well.. Rx techs have decent schedules and the Pharmacy staff is respected as a whole.

Cons

The company is like two companies in one......a pharmacy and a 7/11. If you work in the pharmacy it is a great career...if you work on the 7/11 side you get hour cuts and every time upper management changes anything your job gets harder, more stressful, and more time consuming than before. Completely opposite of how it should be.

Pros

As an assistant MGT, its a great entry level position. One learns many different aspects within the RX/ drug store industry. Assistant MGT's are given raises twice per year. Walgreens does offer medical, dental and vision. Furthermore, Walgreens does give employees a 10% percent discount on wag stock considered as a profit sharing iniciative.

Cons

As an Assistant MGT, forget about having life during the weekends, nights and holidays. Furthermore, you will be transfered to different Walgreen stores throughout your district during the year which can become tiresome.

Pros

They have entry level management positions, giving a chance for people without a lot of experience a chance to get their foot in the door. And Convenience - there are many locations all over the U.S. so if you were to ever relocate, you will most likely be able to transfer.

Cons

It's retail, so employees are most likely required to work on weekends, holidays, and nights; usually all three.
