Stressful, Uncaring Environment

Pros

The only pros to working for this company are the insurance and the people I work with. I have a great staff at my store, excluding my store manager. Every store I've worked at has been the same, with the exception of one store manager who was forced to quit because of bogus complaints.

Cons

Upper management doesn't care about the employees in the store at all. They slash hours over and over again, and then use poor customer surveys as an excuse to cut the hours even further. We're constantly running on a skeleton crew, and everyone is burning out. And when front end employees are consistently spending 60+ hours a week back in pharmacy, which is run so understaffed it's dangerous for patients, there is something seriously wrong with the people running this business. And when you consider that most positions in the store get paid minimum wage, it isn't worth the stress.

Pros

Flexible scheduling, GREAT co-workers, pharmacy manager really cared about her staff.

Cons

Our store was given the bare minimum number of hours to work with, our store regularly filled over 500 scripts/day and we would have maximum of 4 technicians working. Corporate seemed to think we were superhuman and could sell scripts while typing up and filling new ones, unloading our daily order, resolving insurance problems, and deleting old prescriptions. This made the job much more stressful than necessary, I would dread going to work knowing I would be running around the pharmacy for 8 hours. Also paid very little compared to other retail pharmacies.

Pros

Hard to think of any.

Cons

Terrible benefits, terrible hours, terrible pay, no employee loyalty, not what it used to be.
