Pros

The environment is continually changing which leads to growth if you use these opportunities to overcome/learn from different situations.

Cons

I've worked with multiple store managers and I have been lucky enough to build and maintain professional relationships but with every SM I've known they seem to be more invested in their "clicks". On a corporate level Walgreens continues to make huge budget cuts which directly effects the store level (cutting hours, overly zealous customer service demands, inventory control procedures, ect). In reality if the company wants to retain employees and continue to build value as a company they would look at reducing budgets elsewhere. As a SFL I'm the one being held accountable when we don't have the manpower to properly cover pharmacy, photo, cos and any customer service related issue because I get stuck at the register when the crew needs lunches/breaks and it leaves me and 1 cashier yet I still am expected to do everything and be everywhere at the drop of a hat.

Pros

The people I work with are good people. I enjoy coming into the office every day. They like to talk work/life balance too. Will be interesting to see how the next year progresses.

Cons

After a 1 BILLION dollar mistake the company is taking it to employees. Healthcare went up $200 - $300/ month and raises were capped at 1.5%. Overall pay will be way down next year because working here is getting so expensive.

can't retire soon enough

Pros

to start, the pay was good, and there was a reasonable amount of training and help and communication. However this declined steadily and by the time I was ready to retire, well I retired.

Cons

what little help there is, is so untrained and unwilling to help that I can't see how any customer would return. I only got prescriptions filled there because I was forced to. the lines were ALWAYS long and management was unable to schedule additional help in the evenings when the bulk of the customers would be there.
