Pros

The pay and 40% discounts for Team Members.

Cons

Terrible management, There’s more managers than Team Members. Most managers do nothing all day but sit in the office all day talking about their personal lives. Managers hate/Argue with other managers very frequently. And Since more than half of the crew is managers for absolutely nothing, Because most of them don’t have manager skills, Every manager just likes to boss around any Team member just because they can, They like tell everyone else to do something so they can sit around in the office doing nothing again. Most of The other Team members were lazy and hide out in the bathroom or break room most of their shift, it would be hard to find someone to cover my breaks for me and Since I was the only one who were always up front at the Cash Register by myself when I called in they were ready to fire me every singe time, But the other Team members who would be on the floor most of the time and any other managers would call in once a week with no problems or hesitation from the main Manager. I would have anxiety calling in for legitimate reasons because they would get so mad and would not care whatsoever about the reason that I was calling in for. I guess they were to used to hearing the other employees calling in lying about why they can’t make it to work but I never called in for a reason that wasn’t true, I called in for being sick once and I rarely get sick so it was a shock to me as well but when I called in to tell the main manager the entire story and how long I had been sick and was still coming in to work his only response was “SO YOUR NOT COMING IN AT ALL TODAY!?” And I told him well unfortunately not, I’m sick and I don’t want to sneeze and blow my nose in any more customers faces, It’s disgusting and disrespectful to them. He then said “OK!” And hung up the phone in my face without saying “I hope you feel better” or anything he didn’t know how sick I was and he didn’t care. He was just angry that I wasn’t there to be the Cashier that day because NOBODY else in there liked doing the register! most of them didn’t even help me when the line would get to long and the store would be very busy I would call for help up front and the managers would walk right pass seeing that I’m struggling up front with how busy it is, The other Team Members were so lazy with very negative attitude problems, They would roll their eyes, cross their arms and show very obvious upset attitude behavior when I would ask them to do something so simple as to cover a break for me after having no break for 5 hours and staying consistently busy while they would be sitting in the break room half the day on the phone with their boyfriends and I’ve seen it myself before so I can confirm this is true. I would definitely say if you think something as simple as being a Cashier at Walgreens is a walk in the park like I thought Your definitely wrong. Your going to be the hardest working employee they have and your best will never be good enough!
