Pros

I have had a wonderful time meeting people and learning about inventory management which actually comes in handy for my other job. When you have good management, stores run more efficiently and it can be a wonderful experience. I spent the last two years of college at my Walgreens store.

Cons

On the flip side, when you have poor management, it shows itself. Corporate is running down team members to the bare minimum and expecting high-level results. This company is a joke and I would not recommend it today from where I stood four years ago. What gives with eliminating PTO for part-time employees?

Pros

Competitive compensation is about the only positive about working for Walgreens, although they just slashed manager bonuses and are cutting technician and pharmacist budgets even further. Becoming less of a “pro” by the day.

Cons

Poor company senior management. Dangerously understaffed.
