Pros

They offer a good benefits package. Good 401k program. Locations all over the country which allows for transfer opportunities when moving.

Cons

Work conditions have deteriorated in the last 10 years. People, in many position levels, seem to be focused on saying the right things in order to be liked by higher ups and regarded as “part of the team”... once you’re not regarded as such, it’s over for you, you are now on the “must get rid of” list. This is how the focus on “saying the right things” is perpetuated. So the motto is, do not disagree with anything and make it sound and look like you’re going after the results they want you to get, whether they are attainable or not...

Pros

None that I can think of... maybe the fact that you get somewhat of a discount on the Walgreens brand of products you buy. But that would be about it.

Cons

Everything. Walgreens policy states if you are working an 8 hour shift you will receive two 15 min paid breaks and a 30 min unpaid lunch break. Pharmacy staff does good to get their 30 unpaid break. They do NOT get their 15 min breaks and barely have time to go to the bathroom if needed. Very understaffed and underpaid. Training is extremely poor and you are expected to know how to operate their system the day you walk in and if you don't - you just aren't catching on. They do not care about the employee at all - only about the bottom dollar --- they are cutting hours and there is already not enough people working in the pharmacy where I work. I am tired of being hollared at and cussed at by people that don't feel well because they have had to wait in a drive-through line for an hour or more. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'm supposed to be full-time (which by Walgreens standards is 30 hours) and I don't even get that, because its not in the budget.

Pros

Not a single thing

Cons

Upper Management is very vindictive and racist. They will set you up to get terminated if they fear you .......so watch out. The Loss Prevention department has a black sheep mindset. They prey on the weak and throw you under the bus to save their unqualified and shady friends.
