Pros

Nothing. Quit after a week due to poor treatment from the jump and awful unliveable pay.

Cons

$13 an hour on the phones. Intensive training where you are berated for the amount of calls you make even during training. Unprofessionally berated in front of my peers. They illegally required you to arrive 5-10 minutes before your shift so you can spend that time messing with the computer to clock in. I.e, asking us to work off the clock. I missed partaking in the lawsuit that came about due to this but can guarantee they were still doing this while I was employed. They required the same thing when you were coming back from lunch. So in technicality, it was a 25 minute break versus a 30 minute breaking because 5 minutes were spent walking back so you could get back to your computer on time to reboot it and clock back in. The treatment of their employees was astounding and I'm glad I quit when I did. Could not imagine working there for how awful they treat those who make them money. Also creating the perception that they are trying to help those refill their prescriptions when in reality, it's to make sure they increase sales every month. Just an all around gross feeling I had working there, especially after having worked on corporate for so long i knew the immediate red flags when they appeared 3 days in.

Pros

I gained skills that will be useful in different industries.

Cons

Don't let the benefits fool you, they will work you so hard that you cannot use them. Every single second the store was open I was supposed to be available and ready to drop everything and keep my store open, whether it was a CSA or SFL. They required me to work Monday - Friday 7:30 to 5 and 6 days every other week. There was a point in my career I was so short staffed as a Pharmacy Operations Manager at a busy location, I ended up so stressed it put me in and out the hospital for 2 weeks. This was durning covid. I cannot believe I spent so much of my life, 10 years, dedicating my time to a company that doesn't care about their employees. There is NO help. Just slashing hours and lay offs. They dangle the bonus in front of you and then don't pay it out most of the time. The expectations are designed to be impossible. You can't even at here to the companies own policies because you are working with the bear minimum to keep the lights on. It's insanity. You have insane turnover because no one can get hours. New hires quit because they cannot be trained properly. I had to work 65+ a week 7 days straight for weeks sometimes because of staffing. Bad with and behind on technology needed to run the store. Employees and customers don't even get Wi-Fi. They give you ZERO operating budget. Don't be a store manager here. It's corporate slavery.

Pros

$13 starting pay Opportunities to grow CEO is amazing and sent out $200 Walgreens cash to anyone who is vaccinated $100 Walgreens cash Christmas bonus.

Cons

6 call ins a year, this is a very strict policy. Doesn’t sound bad until you get very sick and write you up for each day absent. 3 write ups and your gone, write up’s could be for nearly anything you do wrong. Theirs a policy for everything, I mean everything. Christmas bonus is in Walgreens cash. If you don’t offer to stay late, come in early or come in on your few days off you are seen as “non-loyal” by the company and they WILL bring it up in your reviews, And you will be deducted points for it.
