Pros

They pay you to work as is legally required. No other pros

Cons

You can tell within a few weeks of working there that management does not care about you as an employee or really anything but the bottom line. Almost every day I had to apologize to long-time customers about new asinine policies that anyone with any business sense or had spent a day in a store would know is terrible. There are no real tools to help you and every piece of equipment is dated and close to breaking down completely. During my time there they finally replaced the pre-windows 95 inventory system (which was an absolute joke) with a new system that was beyond cheap and rarely worked. Terrible hours, terrible pay, terrible benefits, and terrible training. I would recommend this job to my worst enemies but even that seems a little cruel.

Worst place to work

Pros

None, not a single one. This was the worst place I ever worked at and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Cons

Overworked, especially if young with no kids or schooling. When asked for more stable hours and not working back to back- I was cut from 30hrs to 10hrs. Allowed sexual harassment(a male employee would touch the women's waists when walking past) Had mostly women closing in a dangerous area(only 1 light in parking lot) and refused to hire security. Management played favorites and the shift leads had people doing their work. I was "promoted" multiple times with no actual raise. I was constantly denied holidays for others that always got those days off. When I quit,I was denied access to my locker so my things were thrown away(the shift lead was always "not here") I picked up items that were too heavy for me(ruined my lower back) A coworker showed up drunk and feeling up on me,when other staff found out she was fired-everyone blamed me and made me uncomfortable and unsafe working there. It's a high school environment with people playing favorites constantly. I literally wouldn't wish this job on my worst enemy.

Pros

As a whole, the company has the resources and tools to accomplish so many positive and Kind-hearted growths for local communities. Some mgmt is responsive and open to new ideas. Corporate leveled mgmt hear you, in person, you just have to be unafraid to speak. Few mgmt is focused on the priorities of the mission focus but when they are, the store's thrive and the team enjoys their job and their duties.

Cons

The company lacks recruiting skills to keep stores thriving rather than surviving. Most mgmt will not give recognition where it is deserved. Mgmt can be dismissive and arrogant in priorities. Without store level recognition employees feel like a number, and while corporate doles out those stats, many store mgmt do not relay the praise and essentially silence any joy coming their way.
