Pros

Well the protected paid time off (ppto) accrued like 15 minutes for every 8 hours or something like that, but....

Cons

While ppto could be used whenever it was available, if you have health issues or family health issues that make you have to use it regularly then they get mad at you. Like, if you don't want me to use it once a week to be able to leave early to help my sick and aging grandmother if she is struggling that day, or to help my wife take care of her health issues, or because I ran into someone who abused me in my past and he actually makes it a point to come into the store just cuz I work there and intentionally cause me to have major panic/ptsd triggers to the point I shut down, and when he does I use my ppto to leave to deal with my health issues... I use it for what it's earned for, but they get mad and say I abuse it because I don't save 30-40 hours at a time, I use it as I need it and they fire me for it instead of just understanding at that point I needed extra help. They also gave me write ups because "I smell" even if I showered every day before work and wore clean clothes... it's the nasty sulfer well water and chemicals in my well that make me smell as bad as I do and I don't have the money to fix it. Plus I got hurt on the job, and they refused workers comp because it wasn't there fault my knee gave out on me due to not having good traction on their wet slippery floors, while I was on the clock... and they refused to help me even when doctors said I needed 75% sitting only work as an accommodation, they refused to keep me at the company, and said that no departments offered that option and any that did wouldn't take me.
