Pros

Lots of room to advance if you have the right mentor. The pay is really good once you reach management leve.l

Cons

The values of the organization are not deeply embedded within the culture. The open door process is okay but rarely do things change.

Pros

Flexibility and able to work independently. However, constant mixed signals, changes which makes it harder to do job. I really like what I do.

Cons

work life balance is hard when you do what I do. I do not have a set schedule which is great for flexibility but bad for single parent. I believe compensation is too low for what I do. I put myself at risk everyday, I believe there should be more compensation for this. Promotions are a bit hard there for my position, despite the fact I have a college degree.
