Pros

Technology, Walmart has some leading edge technology. If you can get into the right group, you can work on some really cool projects.

Cons

Benefits are the worst of any company I have worked for and not fairly distributed. Home office managers get better benefits than remote associates or store associates. Technology, Walmart still uses some really old technology. You could get moved into a group and work on yesterdays projects.

Pros

The company tends to take care of it's salaried employees well. For the area (not the industry) the compensation is competitive. There are opportunities to move around the company if you're so inclined.

Cons

The company tends to disregard the needs of it's hour associates, even at the home office level. From an IT perspective, it's compensation low. From an IT perspective, they are a retail company first and don't understand or utilize IT to it's fullest.
