Pros

- decent starting pay for entry level job - easy to get hired - great health benefits and 401k match

Cons

- management is completely barbaric. Many people are in management positions that have no business being managers. No experience, no degrees, and no people skills. It amazed me how horrible the managers were all-around. - must accrue PPTO to call in sick without getting penalized. No doctors notes accepted. God forbid you get the flu, you are basically forced to come to work because no one has enough PPTO to cover multiple days out. You will be fired if you get 5 attendance "points", with no leeway. - the good workers are worked to the bone while the lazy workers get off without any discipline. They'll stick the slow workers by themselves and just ignore them. The good workers they'll have you do the job of 5 people, and then always expect more from you! This is ultimately why I quit. We all make the same money, but some workers are pushed HARD while others just get to goof off all night. - zero accountability for management. They will lie to you, make up rules, retaliate against you if you go to HR about them, etc. But the store manager won't do anything!

Pros

No pros. I was desperate, they offered, and I sadly accepted. I have been stuck since then. No one will hire me because Walmart is on my resume.

Cons

No work /life balance here. You ask for 5 days in a row off and they give you the first day and the last 2 days, Saying there ins't coverage, it's over a month out. There are over 25 of us and you tell me there isn't coverage. Why is that my fault. Run away. You will all be making the same amount of money even though you work your bottom off. As you see others just stand around and get away with so much. (stealing company time, stealing, mouthing off to supervisors, swearing, just being ignorant)
