Good pay coming from external vs internal promotions. Seems the pay disparity is prevalent with only giving minimum to internal but using the whole pay band to recruit external. Fast paced, not a chance to be bored Autonomy to run your department if metrics and culture are in line.

Old boys club Lot of who you know promotions or those that show real well for exec visits Resistance to adopt the latest in automation until recently, now behind the curve a bit
