Pros

Easy Job to get, Decent about hours and a good starting point for experience in customer service

Cons

Management seems to be overworked and don't seem super qualified to be in their positions at times. Shifts are almost never regular and you will sometimes work vastly different shift times on a day to day basis. Also no guaranteed hours even if you are a full time employee, often you will get scheduled by the automatic scheduling system for less than 35 hours and have to chase a manager down to correct it if they can.

Pros

Discounts, an hour long lunch breaks

Cons

They lie to you about pay rate, an you never finish training so that you can get paid more. They promise you a $1.00 more an it never happens.

Pros

Steady and stable job, most of your fellow employees are outgoing and easy to work with. Decent starting wage now.

Cons

Some fellow employees will be lazy and will not work well, if at all. Walmart has a horrid attendance policy, allowing only 6 callins per 6 month period (though it will take a full year for these "violations" to fall off, so they can still punish you for that for up to a year). No support for their employees, they will look for reasons to fire those that do/want to work, and find reasons to keep those that do not want to work. Taking FMLA while you are at this company is a joke......they will fire you WHILE ON FMLA, AND WILL NOT NOTIFY YOU OF EITHER THEIR INTENT TO DO SO, OR THAT THEY HAVE DONE SO. I had to find out the hard way 2 months after they "let me go", WHILE I WAS STILL ON APPROVED FMLA!!!!! And the FMLA was to take care of my dying mother(which they griefed me for doing every step of the long and agonizing 6 months that she was dying from cancer. If you injure yourself, don't expect them to support that either, they will look for any reason to try to write you off.
