Pros

-Its a job -10% off employee discount

Cons

-If managment is lazy your f'ed -They honestly could care less what the customers think. If a customer complains about something the managers will say that they will pass the message along which means I have already forgotten what you said. -Store managers play pass the blame

Pros

none that i can think of, unless you are fresh out of high school and need a part time job until you start college

Cons

Where do I begin? None of the management "team" understands what the meaning of TEAMWORK is. They are so busy blaming the next manager for something that is wrong, that none of them seem to be able to see the solution to the problem. From the Zone Managers, to the Assistant managers and Co-managers to the Facility Manager, to Market Managers, to corporate managers in Bentonville they all try to blame the person below them for whatever issues you are bringing to their attention. Who cares whose fault it is? Just FIX it! Humiliation, intimidation, retaliation and disrespect are taught in the new management classes. The lack of a regular schedule makes it impossible to plan things with friends and family. Even AFTER the schedule is posted, it is subject to change on a moments notice! It's not possible to plan on a budget because you never know if you are going to get 10 hours or 30 from one week to the next. Favoritism runs rampant in most stores and the managers know it because they are the ones guilty of it! The "Favs" are given the best schedules and for the most part, full time schedules if they want it. Nothing matters to Walmart except the almighty dollar so all of these things are not likely to change anytime soon. Anyone thinking about applying with the company is better off working at McDonalds. The lack of respect and human dignity is horrible and people are under so much stress there that it's difficult to come in to work with out having at least one anxiety attack on the way....
