Pros

Flexible hours. Easy to get job. Job security.

Cons

You will never get more than a 60 cent raise, and you only get one per year. Promotion can be difficult due to Walmart "lifers". Promotions do not offer a worthwhile pay increase. Incompetence runs rampant within salaried management, and hourly employees. More drama between employees than high school. Upper Level management treats all employees like idiots. Lazy people often do not get fired, which cause the hard working people to have to work harder.

Pros

Job security, can transfer all over the country. Many different positions. Can get good managers if you work at the right store.

Cons

Lately all the hours are being cut. Full-time employees went from 40 hours to 34-36 hours most weeks. They let the computer schedule so problems arise almost every day. Part time people are getting around 25 hours a week.

Pros

The Pros of working for wal-mart are very good. The benefits combined with the work that I do in conjunction with the pay are all excellent reasons to work for wal-mart. I am very pleased that I made the transition in my life to this company.

Cons

The Cons of wal-mart are similar to that of many corporations. One is that the company tries to do a certain amount of work with too few associates. There is a fine line between quality and quantity and many times quality is sacrificed because quantity or numbers is more important.
