Pros

Good people. Lots of friendships made but lots of turnover. Its a great place for someone to learn the retail life.

Cons

Lack of support from Store Manager and up. Not enough pay. Too much work and not enough staff. No appreciation. Expectations are too high for one person to achieve therefore even when you feel you did a good job it wasn't good enough so no recognition.

Pros

The staff is very close knit and they make long shifts fun. Most managers are very open, friendly and easy to approach with a problem.

Cons

Walmart has begun to force its cashiers and CSM's to focus on things that shouldn't matter to a retail store. The Walmart Rewards MasterCard is pushed down our throats, and how many we get dictates our pay, our advancement opportunities and even what cash register we're at. In most cases, customers are so sick of hearing about it, that they cut us off or even get quite angry.
