Pros

All Salary employees get annual bonus in April, 10% discount in Walmart; Walmart Fitness Center is nice

Cons

Salaries are well below average; will work very hard for little pay; organization going through constant layoffs (some that management have no say in) which causes some associates to feel very uneasy about stability in terms of making a living; 45 hour work week in Technology; Worst insurance ever; Company is not really interested in embracing diversity because the majority of minorities feel out of place so they leave the company.

Pros

Friendly atmosphere, clear career advancement paths. Bentonville is a great place to live and the surrounding area is vibrant and growing.

Cons

The pay was low, but cost of living in Bentonville is very inexpensive. Training was very hard to come by. They talk a lot about Sam Walton's values, but I don't think that very much of the current management actually practices them. They say that any group that survives the loss of their founder changes their goals from following the founder's vision to self preservation. That was my experience at Walmart.
