Pros

There is very little experience required for this role. Also, outside of work, there is very little stress.

Cons

Few chances to move up in a quick manner. Everyone must climb the same ladder that will eventually end with a role as an underwriter... and that wasn't my calling.

Not a great place to work.

Pros

The pay, The hours, The incentives.

Cons

As a loan processor the training was not long enough or detailed enough. Also there are too many loans for each loan processor to manage. It was impossible to give true customer service you are give goals of 17 loans per month yet have over 70 loans to manage. The turnover rate is extremely high. It is a high school environment at best with little room for career advancement.
