Pros

Strong bank with strong traditions in lending. Strong name recognition with customers.

Cons

You will not have a life, you will be expexted to sell to friends and family twenty four hours seven days a week. They will change your compinsation plan each year to make it harder for you to earn incentive compensation. Be prepared to cold call and be yelled at by customers and management. If you are not meeting their goals that are set extremily high you will stay late and make outbound calls. Your job will be threatened by putting you on corrective action including being terminated for notmaking sales goals. Plenty of team members will seel inappropreate products to customers including credit products.

Pros

They hire smart, respectful, responsible people. Managers are very approachable and willing to share information. They are very flexible with work/life balance issues and the benefits are outstanding. There is room for mobility, both in terms of promotions and lateral moves to cross-train. Employee morale at Wells is substantially better than many other companies. There is (or was for me) flexibility to telecommute as needed; as long as the work is done, everyone is happy.

Cons

Pay is on the low side of average. Parking in San Francisco costs a lot of money and isn't subsidized as it is with my current company.

Pros

Flexibility, opportunity for advancement, strength in a poor global economy. A company that stands its ground and knows how to gain market share without compromising the business practices it has set forth for its shareholders, customers, and employees.

Cons

Lack of communication from middle and senior management when change that affects everyone is coming. Senior management not as forward thinking and prepared for change as they could be. Make a decision and then stick to it for at least one quarter. By not giving team members time to introduce clients to change before everything changes again, there was a loss of confidence even among the most loyal team members.
